Hi Folks
I am currently running a Pioneer MEP7000 where for a quite a while now have used my Ipod for my main source of music. I have spent more time than i care to think about on making playlists that work great with the MEP.
Is there any way of interfacing these with VDJ. I finally made the leep after having the software for quite sometime but always find myself going back to the Ipod interface. If there is a way for getting the playlists over i would stick with VDJ which is what i want to do.
I did try making some playlists and spent again a lot of time on the order of the tracks. The problem i found was when i went to the folder with said playlist and touched the BPM to make the list go from slow to fast there was no way of getting back to the original order i had made. Am i missing something here and there is a way?
thanks in advance for your help folks and i hope i have posted this in the correct area.

When u click on your itunes in the browser window of VDJ you should see all of your playlists there.

Sorry, VirtualDJ cannot play music direct from the iPod, however as above if you sync your iTunes music onto your computer, then it will appear under the iTunes folder in VirtualDJ browser (Providing the library is in the default location.)

Hi Guys, just wondering if anyone is able to help with this one.
Just to be clear - I dont run itunes on my gig machine. I am looking to be able to bring to my gig machine the playlist i have generated on my ipod as they are in perfect running order for what i play. i have managed to copy the playlists (saved as XML) and also the actual tracks the tie in with them (using mediawidget).
So have the xml file and the mp3's its just getting this on and ready to gig with it.
I would love to be able to create and save the actual play order using VDJ. I spent quite some time making playlists in VDJ but couldnt get them back in the correct order if i touched BPM or TRACK or ARTIST etc. would be great to be able to go back to the original order as well (is this possible).
Thanks for your time and help

If you create a playlist with VirtualDJ then it always keeps the same order as the one you originally created. Even if you click on a column and order the playlist differently you can bring it back to its original order. Just click on another playlist or folder and click that playlist again.

A google search shows several different programs to convert the xml playlist into an m3u playlist. VDJ can read m3u playlist's. You may run into a problem with drive lettering in the m3u, but it is just a text file that is easy to do a search/replace with notepad to fix your path.
