Hi,
VDJ is working fine on my system except when I try to activate the Karaoke plug-in, I get the following error message:
"The program can't start because d3dx9_33.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
My question is, if I reinstall VDJ will I lose all of my settings? Can I try something else short of reinstalling?

This means that you do not have DirectX 9c installed.
Please go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3&displaylang=en to download and install it.
NOTE: The karaoke plug-in is optional and for singer management only. You don't need it to actually play karaoke songs.
NOTE: If you re-install VirtualDJ over the top of an existing installation, it will keep your settings. However, you should always backup your database and settings (Found in My Documents\VirtualDJ) on a regular basis if the information contained in it is important to you. If using external drives, you should also backup the database found at the root of each drive. Also, please ensure that you backup your entire music collection.
