Wondering whether anyone has encountered the following problem?
I used the Denon DN-MC6000 tonight for the first time. The sound output was fine as were the crossfaders and video. The problem though was the headphones, which I couldn't get to work properly.
If I was playing a track on Deck A (channel 2) and trying to listen to pfl on deck b (channel 3) you could not hear the music from Deck B but could hear the music from Deck A in the headphones even though the cue button wasn't pressed on Deck A. If I then moved the crossfader over to Deck B, then I could hear the music from Deck B in the headphones.
It makes no difference where the Cue Switch button is as i tried it in all 3 positions.
It also made no difference whether I used the Denon DJ Asio driver or set it up in External mixer/Advanced Config and also tried both different Denon MC6000 options within the mapper.
All of the above options didn't change anything- all of them still gave the correct outputs for Deck A & B and everything was fine with crossfaders and video but the headphones didn't work properly on any of them.
I am using the 00VJ with Windows 7, and up to today had been using the Denon HDC4500 with no issues whatsoever, including the headphones working properly.
I called Gary Job from Denon UK and he tried talking me through a few different options but it ended up stumping him and he didn't know what to suggest.
I managed to get through the gig by using the headphone socket on the 00VJ and using the on screen pfl buttons but this wasn't ideal and I would much prefer to use the headphones with the Denon 6000.
Would be grateful if anyone could suggest a possible solution.

How about the pfl/master monitor knob ? Have you play around with it? It looks like it has been on the master position if you can hear the master only....

I think it's not MIDI - should be Hardwired in the device.

I'm sorry I don't understand what you're suggesting?

To add to this; the firmware has been updated to the latest available and am using the most upto date version of VDJ (7.03)

Have you inadvertently pressed shift with one of the 4 buttons in the centre?, they reassign the midi channels so check that is set correctly.
There is an explanation of this in the manual.

Your settings are just wrong, thats all.
Did you follow the included Quick Start Guide for 2 deck mode?
Is the switch on the rear set to, PC MIX or INT Mix?
Are you using VDJ v7.05?

Maybe have a look here and double check that everything is setup one step at a time to be sure:

Make sure you have the 'split cue' button set to off, this will give you full stereo in your headphones.
