Hey here's something interesting I've discovered. Using a powered USB hub instead of your laptops USB ports will help keep your laptop cooler and running at top speed. Also having a laptop chiller helps too. I just purchased a laptop chiller from Targus and tried it without the power supply and the devices weren't eve...n getting enough juice. Ithen purchased the power supply to the laptop chiller which has a built in USB hub and connected my controller, DJIO and external hard drive. I played songs on both decks and used some effects and my laptop barely got hot. Best of all the performance was not being affected. Do you use a USB hub?

Yes, it's a good idea to lessen the voltage draw load to your laptop, and don't forget the cooling Fan...
