Tópico: Having video freeze problems... Urgent help needed... Please....

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

I just a got a new laptop and the specs are as follows: windows 7 64 bit, intel core i7 processor, 6 gigs ddr3 ram, 750 gig hd, nvida geforce gt525m with 1gb gddr3 video ram, directx 11. My controller is the numark ns7.

I have no problems playing audio, very sweet actually... no latency and very low cpu usage.. however, every video I load freezes... the audio portion of the video plays well but the video freezes and the cpu usage stays low as well... I have been searching the forum for solutions but havent found any.. I need your help as I play video 3 - 4 times a week using vdj.....Thanks in advance guys...

Is it the video on your screen, or the screen that the client sees, or both? Are you using 7.0.3 version?

Check the link listed above. It's quite long, but it may help. Let us know.

Thanks for your help guys... I think I may have got it sorted... It was not a problem with virtual dj apparently.. I changed a setting in my nvidia control panel....
- the graphics processor in the 3d settings was set to "auto select"... I changed it to "high performance NVIDIA processor"
- in the set physx section I selected the geforce card instead of auto select
- I did not change anything in the registry tool

I will post feedback after more extensive testing but I have had no freezing or other issues since making these changes... my cpu hardly moves... loving it so far...

Ok, I have been reading my butt off and still can not tell if this issue have been fixed or not. Honestly it went away for me when VDJ6 came out but when I upgraded to VDJ7 it started again. I stopped doing video for a while but know the demand for it is coming back in my area. Here are all my specs. I use a Hercules MKII as a controller. I made sure all my drivers are updated for my video card and the MKII.

@ Voodoo

Have you tried the registry tool? That fixed my freeze problem awhile back. Also make sure you download the latest version of the registry tool.

Hope this helps

DJbojett, you have in VideoMemMaxUse=232. Did you put that value in, and what does the value mean?

I was told to put that value in sometime ago in the forums. When I set that to 232 my video freeze stopped. I have a 1 gig video card and i believe 232 is like a 1/4 of the video card.

I will try this tool and see if I notice any difference. I am not having any issues, so it may cause some.

hey if its not broke don't fix it lol
