I am also receiving the same error message that was previously posted while trying to upgrade to v7.0.3.msi.
The possible registry solution that was mentioned in the forum did not work. My registry already had those keys.
Details of the problem . . . .
Operating System: Win XP Pro SP3 with all current Windows updates installed
Installed version of VDJ: 6.1.2 Pro (b301) (runs perfectly gig after gig without any lockups or other issues)
Trying to install: v7.0.3.msi
When I try and execute the msi file that I downloaded from VDJ, I get the following message:
"The installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify this is a valid Windows installer package"
