Tópico: What ReWire Software are you using?

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

The title pretty much says it! What are you using? Why do you like it? and what are you doing with it?

I'd like to integrate VDJ with one of them and take things to the next level so I'm asking for opinions.

Thanx in advance for your input.

I use Reason 5. Sometimes ill use it for custom drum loops on a track or if a track needs more snare or highs. Maybe add something to the bassline. Maybe add some wobble bass to a track and give it a dubstep sound. You can add vocals to a track. I've been playing around with MixMeister Fusion, its not Rewire compatible but I have found a work around. I use that in place of automix. I run it through a linein on a deck using "deck 4 linein 'Mic' " and then just route MM in the channel I'm calling my Mic. I can control the volume but if I turn the Mic off while MM is still playing you'll still hear the MM set playing. Anyways I use the MM for playlist but unlike VDJ these mixes can be synced or beatmatched perfectly. Well I'm rambling now, lol!!

Just get a Rewire program and start throwing things at it, you never know what you'll come up with.

I have a couple but they can't be used as slaves only masters so they won't work for what I'm trying to do. I have the Fruity Loops demo and not really liking it thus far so I figured I'd ask before investing some more coin. I somehow knew you would be the first to reply Huey! Lol. Now, is Reason a full production suite? And are updates to version 6 free or would it be a separate purchase?

Well they charge for upgrades, I think the newest one is like 130/140 I believe. And they also get you with the refills. Refills are the instrument sounds and stuff. Those run around 25/35. Not for sure though. The guy in my group buys em so I just get em from him, lol! You can still do a lot of stuff just with the stock sounds. It is producer software and it'll blow Fruity Loops out of the water!! There's also Cubuse. I heard that's pretty good but I have never used it, yet. I'm not sure if that is even Rewireable, is that even a word, Lmao!!

Hope that helps

There is also Record also from Propellerhead and with Reason also installed they integrate into one an other and become one app. Thats what I use for producing my songs. Record takes care of the audio part while Reaosn is the synts drums samplers and FX.

Can't forget about Recycle, its excellent for makin samples and loops.
