Tópico: Stanton SCS.4DJ.... impressive

Anyone seen the release notes on the stanton scs.4dj?

Check it out below. Theres even a vid on the skratchworx website of Gizmo sorta juggling. I'm seriously impressed, looks perfect for me. You can run it stand alone as a controller or if you want or run it with vdj. It even records your mixes on a usb stick.

4 usb ports with hidden port to fit a hdd. Colour LCD screen to boot also. I hope vdj can utilise the screen well when working in midi.

Blah I can't embed the video is vimeo.... anyways check it out!

I'm very suprised.... no one interested?

Do a search on youtube SCS4.

Only weak points I can see is it doesnt have multiple cue buttons and no sampling buttons. Other than that the prospect of not carrying a laptop sounds good to me.

Coloured waveforms for those interested also...

it's very light also.
the jog wheel control is very good, and works better than most everything I have tried.
People are gonna be very impressed when they get their hands on one.

Does anyone know how many one of these go for?

Reminds of the Numark iDJ2 (which I thought was fantastic in concept, but flawed in excecution)...but with a little more thought...

Looks like they'll be £399 street price (£450 MRP)...I am sorely tempted, but think I'd like to play with one first, so might wait till BPM 2011 to get hands on.

Hard To Find Records (HTFR) have them listed on their site, with a release date of 7th May and a caveat that the price may change upon release.

Maybe Stanton can be pursuaded to make an SCS.VDJ...basically the same unit, but running Win7 and VDJ...now that would be worth trading some kit in for...
