Hi Everyone,
I was doing a charity event today and I was having problems with my RMX and my laptop.
All of a sudden, the rmx would stop working. This happened several times
I had to close VDJ and unplug the rmx and then plug it back in. It would then be fine for about a hours or so and then happen again.
Any advice on how to fix this would be great
many thanks
Justin

well it's hard to help you because we need some info
what operating system ? how full is your C: ?
sounds like something in the background coming on and causing a problem , but could be a number of other things
how much ram ? how many processes running?
when was the last time you defragged or cleaned the registry ?
does yer girlfriend have a sister ?
uninstalling and reinstalling the RMX may do the trick

I have 8 gigs of ram.
Windows 7 64 bit
core i7
5gb video card
C: drive has loads of room on it. Computer is fairly new, 3 months old.
will try unistalling it and then re installing it and see what happens.
I wasnt sure if there might be a setting for USB timimg out or something
And no to the sister by the way lol

Before getting too carried away, it helps to know how your system works. Here's a thread to help you sort out any background processes and optimize your system: http://www.virtualdj.com/homepage/jpboggis/blogs/4094/Common_performance_issues_and_solutions.html
Best of luck

The only program I have on this computer is virtual dj. I have dedicated this computer just to dj ing, so I do not believe it to be a background program issue.
It's a clean install aswell, got rid of all the basic stupid programs that come with new computers

had the same problem while playing at a wedding, turn out it was the usb cable that was bad, try changing yours and see what happen.
