So Here are my spec's on my machine I thought would be great for Vdj 7 But to my knowledge and attempt to get this to work with help from form members I'm still at a loss for getting this to run smooth. at this point I'm pretty much done with this software, it runs fine on my old out dated Toshiba I use for Karaoke nights, but this new machine is kicking my ass all I want to do is mix videos for a full shift with no problems I can't even get 30 min of use out of this thing.. I've done all the tweaks from other members have said but still no luck…WTF is the issue I'm beyond frusterated!! I have tied version 5.2.1-7.0.4
HP Envy 15 1050r
(mind U $1,300 spent on this machine) can you guys fill my pain!!!
I have updated ALL the drivers and the Bios and on SP1 of windows 7..

I had some problems myself when switching from an older laptop to new one... Please give more details of the problems you are having... make sure you have the latest video card (graphics) driver. That is what gave me the most problems... I do video mixing every week with vdj and ns7 and it runs very smooth.

turning off the Aero feature sometimes helps
you might have a lot of background processes running
click ctrl-shift-esc and invoke the task mgr ....click processes tab
if the number is over say 50 that may be the problem

@Carryshel I guess I should have mentioned that but it has been an ongoing problem with the program hanging and freezing and not responding...
@Chuck All the aero themes are turned off running just the basic theme, as far as processes running in the background there are only 63 running like I've said I have streamed line this as much as I can and still be a stable machine...
Further note I am using a Deejay trim for my soundcard the same card I use for my Karaoke stuff on two other nights with my old laptop. Also using 2 iCDX for my controls just like I have for years...I can't even get this machine to play music for more than 30 or 45 min at a time...

try gamebooster it's a free utility it will turn off processes for you with one click
on my machine it turns off 31 processes ......
as streamlined as it gets ..... is called safe mode.....
yer nowhere near that
try changing the system priority to programs .... if it's on that already try background processes
also in power options change your profile to always on , then everything under that to never
