For those who use behringer speakers what are thoughts. How is the sound quality? Does it get the job done? Are there any defects I need to be aware of?

You're going to get a lot of name brand stuff thrown at you, About the more expensive stuff.
Here's what I've been able to find out from personal experience.
Behringer sound quality is very very good, Better in fact than a lot of other speaker manufacturers.
They have a large amount of tech poured into their amp plates that power the speakers. You can practically use them without a mixer.
That's the good here's the bad:
Behringer has a reputation for unreliable gear, most of which is from their DJ mixers, Their P.A. gear/speakers are middle of the pack.
Should you buy Behringer powered speakers, Do not beat them like a red-headed stepchild.
and....
Buy a subwoofer.
Even if you buy Behringer's powered Sub, the benefit to your top speakers is incredible. They will run longer and louder without damaging themselves.
I have a set of B212's and use them for ceremony's and speaking occasions.
I use a B-52 Matrix for my dance P.A.

I have heard a gorilla or whatever its called and it was good but it packed up on a friend about six moths later but then what would you expect, I would only use a pair of Behringer tops with subs as I wouldn't want to push them.
