ok guys i use pioneer djm 5000 mixer and a shure pg58 wireless mic.
there are two switches under main hed on mic and not sure which setting i should use.the mic sounds terrible.im goina check the battery connections.and i use rechargeable 9v batts.
only using 2 channels from mixer to laptop the rset is normal mixer controls.
does anybody else use this mic and if so have you encountered this problem.
also anyone using synnheiser freeport and if so how are they

What is "hed"? Which transmitter do you have?

sorry mate that is meant to be head (vocal area of mic.)

you can get distortion if you turn up the receiver too high
under that scenario, changing anything downstream from the receiver still leaves you with
distortion .....

ill have a look mate but think it only shows the channel on receiver.the volume is done from mixer.
ill try google the mic and find out what the switches represent under the head of mic
