Tópico: Name Needed For New Radio Show

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

I DJ on www.soulcitygrooves.com. The show I currently do is predominantly 80's and 90's soul music and is called "Soul Intention".

I've been asked to take over from a leaving DJ. Leaving the 80's behind, I'd like to concentrate on a more urban/commercial sound and need a name for the radio show to match. I DJ under the moniker of "Soundchaser".

The only thing I have come up with so far is "Urban Grooves". I will be geting some drops made so need to make the right decision.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Roy

The first two words that came to mind when I read your post were smooth and flow. Run with it :)

Personally I think the word urban is horribly over used these days.

smooth also crossed my mind, but the reason i didnt include it is because here in the uk we have a radio station called smooth radio and its all, older stuff, and more easy listening. bob dylan, the doors, the eagles, stranglers, deep purple, the jam, genesis, beegees, etc etc...

Mental stamps are important in naming something intangible like a music show. Soul City Grooves is a great example. You immediately get an image of a city grooving. Mental images allow things to stick and imprint. I would incorporate yourself in that city image theme with another mental stamp, with something like: "Blue Alley Beats" or "Traffic Jam"

Good luck with it whatever you decide.

What about Street Flow?

Some great suggestions so far my friends... Thank you.

I especially like the comment about Soul City Grooves. Gonna pass that on to the owners...

Another option - We started a club night a while back which didn\'t take off, the artwork was done and the logo designed, but due to the economy it just didn\'t go anywhere.

The night was called \'Vibez\' and the logo is below. You think it would work?

Roy, i like the "Vibez" name...and if you have all the artwork...make use of it.

My radio show (Calon 105FM) is called Trance Themes, which comes from my live performances...
