Tópico: MP3Gain & VirtualDJ

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

What is the optimal target volume for VDJ when using VDJ. MG3Gain defaults to 89dB and a quick google sees people using between this and 100dB.

Considering VDJ's autogain features, what do people use now and what, if any, dB level would VDJ recommend?

Cheers,

Roy

Hi Roy,

I have used 94 for years and it's fine. Loud enough for output but no distortion.

89dB is universally a safe sound pressure level. Prolonged exposure to 90 - 95dB+ may result in hearing loss.

Pardon?

Sorry had to be done ;-)

Yes, prolonged listening to high dB music is bad for us, but it doens't stop us going out to clubs, bars and pubs every weekend and subjecting ourselves to it either in front of or behind the decks...

Anyway, this is about the input as opposed to the output. Setting the corrent level in the source will ensure less time spent on gain control though the evening!

Cheers,

Roy

roy mate i also set mine to 94 and seems grand.

Been experimenting and 94 does seem about right...

Thanks guys,

Roy

hmm....i dont use gain apps..i just try to trim the sound best i can thru the gain...1-or 2 db off is not noticeable imo..

I use MP3Gain (also the mod for MP4s) and I make all my files 90dB. When I raise that level, many of the tunes will have clipping (indicated by MP3Gain)...

Come on, the db setting e.g 94 doesn't mean your playing out at 94db, remember you go through your soundcard, amp etc.

Pushing this to the max so you have a fighting chance is what it's all about, I do 93.

I use ddvideo video to mp4 gain,I set my volume 95db for my videos and musics.

Is it possible to adjust the db gain through VDJ?.....and what is the default db setting in VDJ....
