hey guys, as some of you know, from time to time i find bargains and just have to tell people about them.
well my latest one is a Citronic CD-S6 Ultima for £0.99 and £7 postage.
now i know im not too happy with Citronic, but for that price im not complaining
the unit was sold as faulty due to to CD tray not working, however, it took me no more than 20 mins to repair.
opened the unit (which had obv been opened before). spotted a loose connector which had the mounting pins bent and a wire that was slightly stripped on one side where the previous owner probs got it jammed trying to put the unit back together after removing his stuck cd.
so, i straightened out the mounting pins and shrink wrapped the damaged cable sheath. re connected the conector.
reset all cd mechanisms manually.
rebuilt the unit and hey presto worko...
the only thing that is slightly wrong but does not affect the machine, is the drawer front doesnt close as the tray does, but hey im not complaining about that for the price i payed and the time it took to fix. plus im sure i can get that to work again too. im pretty good with these things.

@sherz, thanks bro.
@staffy, i left feedback for the item on ebay, it went something like this (Awesome, one loose wire, took less than 20 mins to fix. WooHoo..)
lol i just had to rub it in. ive tested it very rigourously these past few days and i must say its a bloody good unit. works perfect in every way, not a sausage wrong with it, other than i need to find a replacement spring for the cd tray flap. but thats not really a problem.
with a bit of luck i might find a second cdj somewhere.

That Citronic unit looks remarkably like an ADJ Radius 1000 unit.

no it doesnt
Radius 1000 = http://www.djanddiscostuff.com/prodpage.asp?prodid=2926
CD-S6 = http://www.djstore.com/item/citcds6.htm
but it does look like the American Audio CDI-500 just with a different badge. im not sure why, but im assuming they belong to the same manufacturer, except, one for america (Amercan Audio) and one for europe (Citronic).

Actually no. Where I work we deal with both American Audio and Citronic, and they are two completely different companies. A lot of the gear comes from the same factories in China though...
