Tópico: VDJ+Herc RMX+ Mixdeck : Can This be done?

I want to use my RMX as a soundcard so that i can scratch with turntables, but i want to use the mixer and CD players of the Mixdeck....

can this be done? point me in the right direction in terms of settings pls... :)

You could actually use the Mixdeck with your turntables. Then you can still control VDJ and switch between MIDI mode and cds on the Mixdeck thus eliminating the need for the RMX. Ill try to make a video tonight and show you how to do it.

i know i can use the TTs through the Mixdeck but not in TCV mode... or am i wrong?
 


so those are my settings in vdj...

i have the 2 TTs connected to the RMX, everything works fine with the tcvs...

from the back of the RMX i have outs 1&2 and 3&4 going into the Mixdeck AUX inputs...


[on the mixdeck now]

Aux in 1 is set to line - works great
Aux in 2 is set to phono - sounds lousy but line wont work....

The sound problem was the fader in the RMX (its shot). i just deleted its function through the mapper and its running like a dream :)

same setup as above, but both Aux Line Ins are set to Line on the back of the Mixdeck....

still curious to see how i can use the tcvs through the mixdeck though.....
 
Yeah ok, thats what I was wondering. You cant use TCV with only the MixDeck but you should be able to control decks 3/4 with it. Plus you can switch back and forth between MIDI mode, USB sticks and CD's. You can scratch with the MixDeck in MIDI mode. And its pretty good. I made a video on how to adjust the settings.



Man I gotta say thats alot of stuff to be draggin around though. With some tweaking the Mixdeck is really all you need though, lol!

lol yeah i usually dont take the TTs out. lately ive been just taking out the rmx (until the fader died) or the mixdeck.

im impressed with the mixdeck... if i would be able to use tcv through it it would be the perfect machine.
I was asking because i was starting to miss the feel of vinyl :) and the cool thing is that now i can play lionel richie again... lmfao

Will def look into the settings you mention on the video... like the scratch sound you are getting...
