I just got this unit and the only problem I'm having is that all the controls seem to work fine except that the volume slider for deck 1 is on slider 3 and deck 2 is on slider 2. All the equal and gain controls are also backwards. I am new to virtual DJ and this controller so any help is appreciated. Thanks.
I'm running on a Mac.

you should register your serial so you can get updates when they come....
for the volume sliders you will need to swap the mapping to the deck you want to control, and for the reversed knobs you can use "param_invert" to reverse the action eg.
param_invert & deck 1 eq_low

Thanks for the info, in the mapping tab what would the sliders be called? Excuse my noobness but how/where to I enter the code you provided.

just scroll to the bottom of the list in the mapper and select new, then move the knob or fader you want to change, then enter the text in the action box

Thanks for the help. Only problem i'm having is that when i key learn both sides come up as eq_low so when i map one, it changes both of the knobs. I dont know how to separate them, same with the sliders.
I am posting this on my phone at an all weekend outdoor event with no internet for my pc so i cant register serial, software came with the mixer.

you need to script..." device_side 'left' ? action for left deck : action for right deck"
eg. "device_side 'left' ? deck 1 eq_low : deck 2 eq_low
just change the bold writing

By default, the mixer section is ordered 1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 4 to match the default VirtualDJ skin.
If you would prefer to change the order, please see http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/DN-MC6000.html
NOTE: To be able to use custom mappings beyond the 20 day trial of Pro, you will need to upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Professional at a considerable discount: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

Great thanks!!Does the upgrade have machine restrictions? depending on who is djing we use a mac or a pc (i cant stand mac) We only use one laptop at a time.
Any way i could get access to the registry editor tool? We have our itunes library on an external hdd and cant see see playlist in virtual dj. I would obviously like to confirm this functionality before purchasing.

You will have full access to all add-ons including the registry tool once you have upgraded to the full Pro.
The End User License Agreement (EULA) allows you to have the software installed on up to two computers at any one time, providing that they are both for your own personal use and will not be used simultaneously (E.g: Second installation as a backup or for practising at home is OK, allowing a friend or another DJ to use it is NOT allowed.)
You may also uninstall the software from an old computer and then install it onto a new computer.
NOTE: If you intend to sell, give away or dispose of an old computer, you must remove VirtualDJ from it first.
You can download the install file for the software again (If needed) from the Download Center: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html
