Have you tried Splashtop? I use that to control my Laptop with my Ipod -they have an android version too - basically a screen share from the laptop to the device via an ad-hoc wireless network - works pretty well and you have full functionality of all programs unlike the limited use the currently available VDJ apps have.

sounds good to me, ill give it a go if my phone will allow it. im trying to get my broadcasting to work at the moment so it will be later on when i try it. thanks for the info.

i havent tried it on the psp yet ill try it and let you know whats up

+1 Splashtop is a definite win for me :-)

looks kind of cool but at the same time looks like using a mouse is 100 time easier

That's not really the point. With these apps you can set up your rig, connect your mobile device, phone, ipod, Ipad, android tablet. via a short range ad-hoc or long range internet assisted wireless network and control VDJ from anywhere. It is great for getting out into crowds and taking requests and mingling with the guests. I can take a walk around a dance hall and talk to customers, take a request, look it up at their side and que at as I talk to them from 200 feet away from my rig. People think it is pretty cool.

Splashtop on my Zoom is the sh1t!! Gonna give it a go on the tab next!!
Here's a few pictures

Best part about it is that I can search compared to the VDJ app for crapple........

Huey

For you tablet guys download the HD version, its only 10 bucks.

@jbart19 I see the point in using the iPad or any touch screen device. I use my iPad with VDJ remote at gigs just don't see it being realy easy with an PSP as seen in the YT video.

Yeah never tried it on a PSP - in fact I don't think I have ever seen a PSP in person. I was just giving the OP another option since he was going to go for the PSP instead of using the android device he already had.

I have the VDJ official app too but ever since I started using Splashtop I have never gone back. It is exactly like using VDJ on the laptop just with a touch screen. No limits on interface like not being able to search.

i think splash top has gotta be the way forward for me then, im gonna look into a new tablet of some sort and go that route. when ive sat back and though about it a psp costs around the same price as a high end android tablet. so i think a droid will be best option.
