I often have ppl bring a custom CD (made thier own in order to play).
I RIP it (of course no artist, songname so i type in manually etc..) I use mediamonkey to rip.
When i view in brower, of course I see the songname and artist but I need to put it in order (quickly/easily) without looking at the written songname on paper) and add one by one to the playlist.
If i could sort it by track #, I can easily select the whole thing and add to playlist.
Isn't there a script that could do this ?

I just thought of another reason why its good to have.
Those CD that (don't what to call it) has no GAPs when played and goes smoothly when the next track plays.
You can RIP the entire CD to only have one track with all the song mix and it will play the songs (ignore the msg about not enought RAM here).
IF you RIP the CD as individual, seperate songs, you're going to need to VIEW the TRACK # so you can put this list order.

It's not what you guys are looking for but a few work arounds would be
1. Use the 'comment' field
2. Use the field 1 or 2
3. Put the number before the title but you have to go like this, 01,02,03,04,05,06,07,08,09,10, for it to work.
Just kicking ideas out there until the feature is added

Would it be posible to show the 'Comments' field in the 'Track Window' when a tune is loaded. That way you can kill 2 birds with one stone. The skin for the 'Denon MC 6000' has this, why not in Virtual DJ Pro, or have I missed a trick.

I use Mp3tag to format my tunes and one of the 'actions' I use is 'Format value "COMPOSER": %track%' which copies the track number into the Composer field. I can now sort or whatever by track number in VDJ, much more useful than composer, in my opinion. I often remember tunes by track number until I'm totally familiar with the title (I work in a record shop and if I hear something I like I glance at the CD player and check the number, I often haven't got time to look at the sleeve). I thoroughly recommend Mp3tag, it can do all sorts of things especially if you can do some simple programming.

Hey guys,
I've just updated VDJFlacTags ( http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/13224/VDJFlacTags.html ) to be able to put tags (flac,mp3,wma) into 'Field2' of the database.
Standard it will now fill it with discnumber-track. It will be intelligent with the data. no disc + track will become just the track and tracks/discs below 10 will always get a trailing 0 to ensure correct sorting.

Hope this helps someone, at least for me this is a very workable solution.
