I don't know about the car radio however I was wondering the same, I have just had an expensive hands free system fitted through my radio in my car and don't want to have to pay to have it done again with a new DAB radio.

They'll probably sell a special antenna for them, that's what thy did here in the us when the tvs switched from analog to a digital signal. The government gave away some special voucher that made them a lot cheaper for people who couldn't afford a newer tv.
