Tópico: I'm using XP for the first time!

Believe it or not...I started on Vista...thought i would install Xp,but did'nt ...instead waited till I got a my second computer. Got XP PRO with sp3 !!! Good?

i no ghuys are always saying xp this xp that take it from me (a pc tech and DJ) up grade to windows 7 (64bit) runs just as great and 64bit = more ram and more ram = faster running system
 
naw... this is what came in my "new" older model Alienware laptop which seems to like it just fine. I mean i could put windows 7 in it but too many people have screwed up their Alienwares this way....but I have this guy maxed as much as it allowed and just put the NEW version of GAME BOOSTER....(guys check it out!)....so...anything else I need to know?
 
that windows xp is old technology and not supported by Ms any more meaning you can and wont get any new (windows updates) for your machine :-(
 
the only update I need is my Anti virus defs IMAO....he,he
 
XP Pro will work like a champ for ya. I used XP for years, avoiding Vista at all costs.
I recently upgraded to newer laptop which came with Win7 x64... Love it.
If you can work out a successful upgrade on your alienware lappy you should try it.

To each his own, but I still use XP, and only do video, with 2g of RAM. It works for me, so I keep moving on. Now, when I do a new build, I will go with 7, but if it ain't broke........

@ thetracker510, XP Pro is great with VDJ 7.

As stated, XP although outdated, works very well with VDJ. See, as a moderator, I have to keep these post from being hijacked by crazy people.
