Tópico: Little bit of help with the mapping.

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Hey guys. Im still fairly new to Virtual DJ and giving it a good try though before I purchases the full version.

Just a quick Script/Mapping question. How do I get a hot-key on the keyboard to load the next song in my play list to what ever deck (Eg The 'A' key loads the next song in the playlist onto Deck A and the 'B' key loads the next song in the playlist onto Deck B)

Thanks in advance.

hi, you only need to map one button.

map and key and set its action to: load

this will load the next track on your playlist into which ever deck is empty or stopped.

hope this helps.

oh and if your wondering, why controllers have a load A and load B button, its because "load" is a global action and run off the same commmand.

you can map 2 keys if you please and you will still get the exact same thing.

map A to = load
map B to = load

but why use two when one will do?

Thanks for your reply.

The only probelm Ive been finding with that is I have to press down and have the song highlighted that I want to load. So therefore pressing down then 'load'. I would like to combine the two to make it heaps easier.

Thanks

EDIT: I think I know where Im going wrong. Is it better do it from a Folder because thats what I have my 'set' in right now.

that should work on any highlighted track. not just tracks in a playlist.

any track tou hghlithg in a browser it should load to.

lemme double check though

ok i see where your coming from, map your buttons to this

A = deck 1 load
B = deck 2 load

this gives specific seperation so you can load any highlighted track to the specific deck.

hope this helps.

Thanks for the help. I kinda got what I want going.

Cheers.
