So I just installed virtual dj le. I have a TASCAM US-122mkII sound card (2ch-24bit 44100hz). I can cue songs but the music in my headphones is all distorted and buzzy. The music outside is just fine. any idea what's going on here?

I just tried hooking up speakers to the line out on the TASCAM and using it as the master instead of the computer and I still have the same problem.

I get the static sound as well. I'm running a DMC2 controller, Numark CM100 4 channel mixer, MacBook Pro with a 750gig 7200 rpm drive, dual core. I'm also running a gigaport that I would like to run 4 channels on but can't seem to figure that out either?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You may need to configure the Gigaport for 4 channel (2 stereo) audio via the MacOS Audio MIDI setup utility. Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Configure%204%20channel%20audio%20on%20Mac.html
If the 'static sound' that you are getting is either a low pitched hum/buzz then it could be a ground loop or if it is a high-pitched 'mosquito' type noise, it could be interference from your laptop's power supply. Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Ground%20Loop.html

Thanks for the info! Still working on figuring out the Mac Audio setup, it's not letting me open up the audio tab.. going to take it to a MAc pro to see what he can tell me about fixing that.
