Hi there all

I currently have Virtual dj pro 7.0.5b , Hercules Rmx, Dell xps 1530 laptop mixing music videos in mp4 format, works ok, but struggling when i have any effects active or recording a mix.

I was thinking of ugrading, to DDJ Ergo , and getting a new laptop with (dual hard drives) and big video card if possible?

Any suggestions on what would be the best laptop to get, that would run stable with ddj ergo and my Pro version of Virtual dj 7b

I have a Dell XPS 17 laptop with two hard drives that total 1.28 TB. The computer has 8 gigs of RAM that can be upgraded to 16 gigs and I ordered it with the I7 processor. When using Virtual DJ I have never had any problems such as skipping music, locking up, or high CPU useage.

My only complaint is how hot the computer gets. I have had a thermal shutdown on the computer a couple of times, but not when using Virtual DJ.
 
ok thanks, have you tried a usb fan cooling pad under your laptop?

more suggestions anyone Please ?
