Unfortunately the Reloop Contour does not answer to standard MIDI SysEx ID request, so the only way it can be detected on MacOS is by its driver name.
This must be exactly: Reloop CONTOUR
Please check in MacOS's Audio/MIDI utility and rename it if necessary.
NOTE: On Windows PC (7 and Vista), it will be detected by USB VID/PID, but this method is not supported on Mac.

Go to MacOS Utilities -> Audio MIDI Setup, then go to the menu and choose the option to show the MIDI window.
Make sure that the MIDI device for the Contour is named EXACTLY as above.
Also, make sure that you have not changed it from the default MIDI channels.
If you have access to a PC, then you can also try using MIDItrace to see if it now supports SysEx ID in newer versions of the firmware:
(1) Download the following program: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/miditrace.exe
(2) Run MIDItrace and select the Contour in both the input and output sections.
(3) Click on the SEND button.
(4) Copy and paste the result string that is returned, if any.
