Hello Everyone,
Need some advice on a mixer. I'll be purchasing the Virtual Pro once I purchase my mixer. A little about me; I'm a former club DJ that came from the wheels of steel for those who know what I mean. I still mix just for the pure pleasure of playing music. I don't consider myself an amateur by any means. I might even try out for a spot on Virtual Radio...lol. I'm not a scratcher, never was. I came from an era where Freestyle ruled the clubs back in the 80's (yeah, I know showing my age, but with age comes experience). I currently love to play club, techno, house, trance. I have a few mixers in mind, and price is not really an issue. I use the free version of VDJ. Took a few to get use to it but I really need a mixer....tired of the keyboard thing. When I mixed back in the day, I used the wheels of steel (Technics MK 1200) and kid you not, I would still be using them today if it wasn't for this whole space issue. I love the idea of caring a memory stick with my music. Beats lugging around crates of 12 inches....lmao. Here are some of the mixers I'm considering but please don't hesitate to add other mixers that I should consider. Any help/advice would be much appreciated.
Numark NS6
Pioneer DDJ Ergo
Numark Mix Track Pro
I know there is a big difference between the Numarks I listed. Just torn on the whole plastic issue of the Mix Track Pro.
As far as Pioneer, I can't remember when I was mixing ever using a Pioneer mixer so I'm not sold on the whole Pioneer in the mixer market.
Numark is a mixer I recognize from my era as well as Dennon but didn't really consider any mixers by Dennon, that's why I'm here.
Almost forgot, I not interested in purchasing any mixer that's too large, which is why I crossed out the NS7 due to it's size.
Thank you all for your time and help with this. Can't wait to join the VDJ registered users.
Cheers

Get The NS6 decks. I have one and it feels good. Its a nice size and its a omfortable deck to mix on. I wouldnt buy the Mixtrack pro because its uncomfortable to use. You will get alittle confused while mixing live. The Cue button and the load button is near each other and you will trigger them by accident. The headphone volume is also really low. The pioneer Deck looks cool but the Numark NS6 is a better deck with more better features. Back in the days, Numark was ok but These days, They are in the Top when it comes to controllers.

Going by the products you've chosen, it looks as if you're looking for an all-in-one controller/mixer/audio interface rather than a "mixer"......
So my suggestion would be to also consider the Denon MC6000, the Traktor Kontrol S4 and the forthcoming Vestax VCI-400 which is a real beast.
