I think the price of Virtual DJ pro is outrageous! With the economy in a downfall as it is, it is a lot harder, especially for the music industry.. I have spent 200 dollars on a numark controller could there be any way at all to get a discount or lower the price..... I just dont see how many people could be paying that much.. am I wrong for saying all of this? I just dont know.......

You already get a discount by having an LE version that was provided as your purchase of the Numark iDJ3.
Please visit the BUY page and enter your serial number in the middle section for Upgrades - http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html
As for your concern about the FULL price - VirtualDJ is comparably priced against all the major players in the industry.

if $300 scares you off, wait till you start looking into speakers, lighting, projectors or monitors... $300 is nothing in this industry, specially for a software that gives you updates at no extra cost, try looking for that in another software, any software...

i disagree. with all the features that this software offers, the price is ridiculously low... no other software offers you the flexibility and compatability with hardware, the features and stability for $300... its a no-brainer...

Free upgrades are included for that price too. As others have stated it is priced fairly when compared to competitors. I think you need to consider all the work that goes into creating a piece of software and how much it actually costs a company to produce and support something on this scale. I don't know what age you are but the current generation of computer users are growing up with an expectation that everything should be free which is really worrying...

LOL
You think the price of VDJ is too high?!
Have you seen the price of the so called "industry standard" CD players? Now THAT is a high price!
And £1000 for a USB controller that does nothing unless it's connected to a computer? A few knobs and sliders that send MIDI data.
Shocking!
Compared to some things, VDJ software is a bargain.

Are you kidding me. Here's some from the other 2 top software:
Traktor Pro = $450 w/ soundcard, does not do videos or native support for 99% of MIDI/HID device out there.
Serato Scratch Live = Software is free, but you need to buy a soundcard which starts at $499 or a Rane Mixer starts $1300. Does not support MIDI/HID devices natively. Cost you another $199 for video plugin
Serato ITCH = Same cost structure as scratch live. Supports limited amount of MIDI controller.
Now tell me again, how Virtual DJ cost is outrageous????

Guys - no need to badger the OP about the statement.
I used the word 'comparably' for a reason - and you guys proved my point.
In comparison - it shows that VirtualDJ is at a 'great' price when you consider all the 'required items' you have to get just to use another software. And, when you begin to compare feature sets among them; VirtualDJ has equal features and begins to exceed all others. Additionally, VirtualDJ's support and upgrades is just icing on the cake.
So, thanks for the support and hope to see 'jrock911' as a Pro user soon.
