Hi All
I am in the process of moving my mp3's from an old PC to a new laptop.
I have copied all the mp3's to an external disk and I am now moving them on to my laptop.
The original files were on the D: and now will be located on the new laptop c:/mp3.
Is there a quick way to edit the database so I don't lose all my file info/cue points etc?
Thanks in advance.

Download pspad (free) and do a find & replace all on the filepath in your DB file. Works every time :)
If your D drive was previously seperate you may need to merge the DB files from both c> users and d drive but PSPad can do that too.
You will also have to do this on your playlist and history files if you use them.
Always remember to backup first.

Thanks for that.
Can you give me the list of files and locations I need to edit?

I'm on my mobile at the mo.... C:/Users (or documents and settings) > virtualdj> virtualdjdatabasev6.xml (I think) and there should be a similar file on the root of your previous D drive if it was seperate to the main drive.

Yes, assuming you have a database from your old C drive and one from the D drive, merge both of them together and then overwrite the new one created when you installed VDJ on your new laptop.
