First, thanks to advice in the forums I am a very happy owner of this fine controller. It sounds fantastic and feels awesome! I chose it over the Numark N4 and Denon MC6000, among others (American Audio and Vestax).
So after a short burn-in (I was forced to gig with it untested as a replacement for my dead RMX), I was thrown into my first live gig behind it. I checked the mapping and found that Shift + FX encoder should equal effect select. Nope. It would step once up or down and that was all.
More disturbing was that either pitch slider would change pitch on the playing deck. How embarrassing!
Most disturbing was that using the deck switch instantly disabled my playing audio. Ouch! The pitch change I could laugh off, but the sudden silence was unbearable! I had to restart VDJ while expounding on the drink specials and how lovely the bar staff was, etc.
So please help fellow RDJ3 owners! Are these issues fixable? I have the latest drivers and firmware...
