Hello gang,
I have owned VDJ for a number of years, and I am not a professional dj, so this question is more about a fun application, not necessarily a professional level application.
What I would like to see is an app that would allow multiple users to dj a set together via the net. I understand there is a real concern about latency issues, plus many others. I am just curious if anyone else finds the idea interesting. I looked at turntable.fm but there is no mixing, no real creative freedom, just DJ1 playing a song, then DJ2, etc. The way I see it is that one or more DJs could have a "room", limited by bandwidth and the users within the room (those who occupy a room can state that it should only hold 3 djs) and all 3 djs can contribute to the output stream and any given time; ie:
* DJ1 Only,
* DJ1 + DJ2
* DJ2 + DJ3
* DJ1 + DJ2 + DJ3
So, bad idea, technically not feasible?
Thanks,
James
