Tópico: New Laptop Video Effects Not Working

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

It seems like nothing can be easy, how frustrating! Bought a new laptop Friday night thinking I'll be able to use Friday night! NOT!

None of my video effects (Boom, Camera, ClipBank, ClipBank Random, Negative, SBDL Slideshow, Shakersquare, Show Logo, Slideshow, Sonique, Strobe, Text, Titler)! I also had to disengage video accelerateor so that my vids won't be choppy but the resolution was a little crappy! Any help is appreciated!

Optimus.

I suspect VDJ is being run by the crappy Intel card rather than your nVidia card.

Not sure on your particular laptop but it's usually a BIOS and/or driver configuration option somewhere.

well from what I can tell, after playing around with it. I got all the video effects to work but I had to engage the video accelerator which then gave me choppy video and effects. Any ideas?

Yup - it will likely be caused by the graphics card switching technology.

Thank You, Thank You! That did the trick!!!

PLease help, I bought a brand new DELL i7, that I was told would be more than powerfull enough for me to run virtual DJ videos all night. I have to disable hardware acceleration to play the videos, but re-enable it to play the slideshows for whichever clubs I'm working during plain audio songs.

The Laptop is a
Dell Inspiron IR7
Intel Core i7-2630QM Processor
8GB Memory
750GB Hard Drive
Integrated Intel HD Graphics
Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit)
Microsoft Office Starter 2010
Dell Stage Software
DVD +/- RW Drive
Wireless-N + WiMax
Webcam
HDMI
Also, I keep ALL Music & Videos on a seperate external hard drives.
Please Help, and Thank you

You most likely have a graphics card with bad drivers. Please update to the latest from the manufacturer's website, if any are available.

If this doesn't solve the problem, please see our FAQ pages:

You will also need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Professional to be able to play videos full-screen. If you like VirtualDJ, then please support the software and its future development by purchasing it: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html (If you have already purchased it, please register your Pro serial number on the page http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and download the latest version from http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html )

Found the solution on my new I7 Medion With Nvidia GT555M

go to the nvidia tool in cofiguration panel.
set at the puldown menu all items on especialy the contex menus.

then when you go select virtualDJ use right mouse click an select : use graphics card select there nvidia.

now virtual dj use the nvidia card and hardware acceleration work, there you can now also select nvidia witch was not there before...
effects also work.

i had an Acer 18Inch laptop, with I7 processor as well bud these gets so extreme hot and sometimes trip during the action core overtemperature.
I thougt buy another some smaller 15.6 inch with 2nd generation 6gb memory, 2gb vid memory, bud when started virtual dj it looks crappy with video, in other programms like media player it dit work fine bud not in the hardware acceleration on VDJ now i thought buy some better a lot of stress getting the vids work fine...

bud i look on internet and see i was not the only one, so there had to be a solution, i have found it by acer where they tell this, oldo this laptop is a medion i7 2nd generation...

had to put this here to help others...

Hey.
My bud's VDJ pro is running on a brand new ASUS with wellll over the required specs for video. It has a Nvidia GEforce card in it. We're having the same problem; using the hardware acceleration button, it switches between giving us smooth and in sync video, or effects.
It's really a nuisance for our uses.

Is this problem common with all GEforce cards and is there a registry tool to fix it?
