Hi guys.. new user with just a quick question.. I hope :D
so Virtual DJ pro with a U-mix44 (thinking this is probably my issue but hoping not) serato timecodes and decks all work fine my problem comes when i try to by pass and just play normal vinyl.. it's sooooo quiet.. i've been looking in the options and stuff but i obviously have the search skillz of a blind wombat in mating season.. is there something i have missed? even turning all the gains all the way up doesn't bring the volume close to the levels of the tunes playing via timecode..
As you can imagine this is quite annoying as my only real options at this point in time is to record my vinyl or swap wires about mid mix... Neither of which are the ideal fixes
Thanking you for your time

Well depending on what mixer you have, if it has midi support Im guessing you could switch it from DVS (or USB) to aux instead. If not, in VDJ choose the "Scratch" layout (there is Mixer Video and Scratch), there you should be able to turn of timecode on each deck as I do think VDJ still thinks you are using timecodes.
If still not working there is a Midicommand i read about a few days back "timecode_bypass" which has helped out a few others on the forum.

so i found the timecode button, but pressing it just leads to a buzz (pulsing saw wave) coming through, no real music at all D:
umm so imma show my ignorance here it's the "midi command"? can you point me to some of these other posts save you having to explain it all again here :D

It may be the inputs of this card aren't loud enough, especially if the card does not have a phono pre-amp built-in.
You may be able to adjust this in the sound card's control panel, if it has one.
NOTE: You will need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Professional to be able to use timecode and/or MIDI controllers. If you like VirtualDJ, please support the software the software and its future development by purchasing it: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html
