its been like this for a while now, and i just wanted to know why, the beat grid stopped working. any ideas. I thought it might be because i was useing a newer skin but ive tried everything i know of.

the beatgrid is set by an algorythm that has to guess the first beat of the track, it is usually the loudest lowest sound, it works perfectly for 4/4 music that has a solid foundation, but in modern dance music there is a trend to take the kick down in volume and pitch to make room for the bass line. to compensate this and to give the music a solid beat the snare is usually pitched down and made louder, vdj confuses this for the first beat.
It is a simple fix, just right click the bpm tap button and you will open a window to adjust the grid position.

Or even easier - find the down beat and line it up, then tap the BPM key once to adjust the grid

Nah...mine stopped working too. Matter of fact, it just disappeared from my list of effects. I just downloaded VDJ again and I got it back..

Ok it's just not working, and I love using this affect. I am going to re-download virtual and see what happens.
