Tema: Need help with the denon dmc-3000

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Hey guys, I just bought the Denon MC-3000 and are now trying to get it running with Virtual DJ (downloaded VDJ Home Free but it's not detecting my MC-3000). Since the MC-3000 is getting delivered with the Traktor LE version in Europe (only NA get VDJ LE) I'm not quite sure what I should do. When I buy VDJ PRO will I be able to use my DMC-3000? Or is the DMC-3000 supported at all? Couldn't find any downloads on this site regarding the 3000 (only 6000).

I hope you guys can help me, don't wanna use Traktor :(

So long,
Phil

Hi Phil,

your LE-version is for your Hercules-console so that won't work. The Home Edition will work but you only got 10 minutes per session, after that it's back to mouse and keyboard. If you are not able to set it up correctly in those 10 minutes you have to start all over again.
With the Full Pro Version it will work. >>Here<< is a list of natively supported controllers. As you can see the MC3000 is one of them.

Hey Martin,
thanks for the (very) fast reply but I still cant use my controller with the home-edition. Whenever I open the VDJ Home Free I go into config -> mappers and open the dropdown menu but my controller doesn't appear. Also, when I remove the tickle at "show only connected devices" I can drop down a large number of different controllers including various denon controllers like the MC-6000 but not the MC3000 which is kinda weird.
I hope you can help me with that, I'd really like to test my controller with VDj before I decide to go Pro or not.

The basic versions of VDJ do not support external controllers. See the comparison chart http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html

If you had an LE version of VDJ included with the MC3000 that would work (because it would be written to support only the MC3000) but to use an external controller, you will need the FULL version of VDJ Pro.

As mentioned, you can trial (for ten minutes) the other versions for testing purposes.

Ah ok, thanks - and how can i activate this trial thing?

Because your MC3000 doesn't appear in the controllerlist, it looks like you're using an older version of VDJ Home. DL and install the latest version from http://www.virtualdj.com/download/free.html
You don't have to activate anything. The 10-minutes trial should work every time you start VDJ.

I've downloaded the latest version of VDJ Home Free (7.0.5b) but it's still not working. The MC3000 isn't even showing up as a "not connected device". Looks like it isn't in the list at all which is kinda weird considering the homepage says its a native supprted controller. Do you know if its possible to get the LE version that Americans und Canadiens get when buying the MC3000?

the latest version of home free that is possible to download is 7.0.5. (b371) - maybe it's because it's not (b380) ?

Sorry. I'm not able to see when the MC3000 was added as a supported controller. But from what you've posted it looks like Build 371 didn't support it. The Home-version wasn't meant to be used with a controller. Using it for 10 minutes is just a nice add-on so updating it just for that purpose will probably happen, but I can't tell you when.

The choice of included software is done by Denon, not Atomix. If you would like to try your controller with VDJ, you could try to contact Denon and see if they are willing to send you a copy.
