What do you think and what would you pay for a set of 2?

It's a bit gimmicky for me.

Do you use vinyl?

Hmmm I don't know. Maybe $100 for a pair providing that I can put my own logo there and that they can be used with my S-3700 decks.
PS: I also agree that they are just a gimmick, but I find them much cooler to have and use than using an iPad to remote control VDJ... :-P

Well remember that vinyl guys are about the show of skill and when that lights up its huge.
Its a slip mat that projects through clear vinyl, the 37's are pretty specific with slip mats and thickness but not to say its not possible.
Vinyl guys love this stuff, asked a few what they would pay and somewhere between 50 and 80 each was keeping their interest.
Everything in this business is a gimmick, but anybody watching a guy scratch is looking at his hands and gear, put something there that identifies him and without a mic, and he wants that.

As I said, if it can be produced for more equipment than standard 12' TT's it might be interesting! I'm pretty sure that Numark V7 users will also be interested on something like this.

PS:
You would need transparent timecode vinyl for this to have any use, and from this point of view its aimed on timecode users only. I can't see how a traditional vinyl user could use this when 99.9% of vinyl discs are from solid material.

way too distracting as a slipmat because it doesn't move the same as the vinyl... but I can't even stand mixing with picture disks because they're too distracting

I would buy this right now if i can. Its not distracting for me because i am not looking at the jog wheel to mix. In NYC where i live, The Djs would go nut if i were to show up with these at a club.
