Hi all, I'm having trouble and need some advice.

I've been having a few glitches in my audio lately, I've been using an RMX which it was doing it with and I've just brought the Numark NS6 and same thing so am sure it's not the drivers for them.

I've run the DPC latency checker and about every 15 seconds the yellow bars pop up to just under the red and then it seems to randomly spike into the red and sometimes it even goes to the top of the graph.

I don't know if it's a coincidence or not but as of late I have been getting something flash up in my task bar, it flashes so fast that I can't see what it is. I've opened task manager and can't see anything there. Maybe I'm missing something....

I've run complete virus scans etc, even changed antivirus software, tunrned them off, disabled wifi, haven't even opened vdj yet, etc and it still flashes in the taskbar and I am still getting into the red on the latency checker.

I did a windows update not long ago, not sure if it may have started then or not.

I'm using a Toshiba dual core with 2.3GHz processors. 4Gb RAM with 32-bit Operating Sytem with Windows 7.

I'm starting to pull my hair out.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Many thanks - Mark

Well there does seem to be something running which is causing the spikes. Your job (should you choose to accept it) is to track it down and stop it.

You will look for it, you will find it.........and you will kill it!

These things are not necessarily viruses or trojans, just little utils or driver files that don't play nicely.

Make a note of all the processes that run when you start Windows, then disable them one by one until you find the culprit.
