Hello All,
is it possible to use an USB midi controller for starting in the samples?
I was thinking about something like this: http://www.icon-global.com/ShowPro.aspx?ID=133
I have the VDJ Pro full version, and normally working with the Denon HC-4500. The controller above would be for a special project, where I want to be able to start samples from different locations.

yes you could do that no problem, vdj should be able to run 2048 different midi messages from as many controllers it takes to fill that amount with undefined midi controllers in simple midi, that looks like it would send 8 messages so plenty to spare lol.
to map the sampler you can use things like
sampler 1 play
sampler 8 stop
sampler 3 loop on
sampler 5 loop 4
sampler 4 load "filepath/to/sample.vdj"
etc...

sampler 3 loop on
sampler 5 loop 4

And what about if I hook up 2 of these? Will they each give the same values? Or can I redirect that in some way?

I have two icon controllers "istage & idj" both have midi editors so i would think this would to.. if you can change the messages you can use simple midi, if not you need to create a definition file, which for 8 buttons would take 5 minutes so shouldn't be a problem then you could run as many duplicate controllers as you like.

yep here you go, it may not make sense immediately, but if you can't figure it out if you get the controller and can't make it work I would be happy to throw one together if you give me the information it needs, like I said it'll only take 5 minutes ;-)
