all it does is record a small sample 8 beats long and repeats it whatever size you set. It is not changing the way the track plays in any way, so pitch changes will no longer be head from the master while the effect is active.

If you are using pc you can use chackl's rollit which has a knob to change the playback speed of the sample simulating pitch, it's also chainable with other effects as the output from the effect goes back into other effects unlike the other roll plugins.

But if the deck is playing e.g. -3% and it is sampled, why the sample sounds the originial +/-0% instead of sampled -3%? I can't see the logic in it.

With the other RollIt -plugins I found some other irritations, this one was the most decent one except the pitch problem. There was also somewhere mentioned a workaround to handle the looproll with the sampler, but then the channel/deck gains becomes a problem...

just tested it.. rollit2 actually changes the musical pitch and length of the roll with the pitch fader on the deck, looproll will change the length if the roll but the musical pitch will remain at 0%, this is probably because it samples the track from the buffer "pre eq & effects" not the deck output if you don't have the third button "record then loop" selected... If you select that button the plugin will record the live output then loop.

Rollit2 is the best for your needs.

You should register your version of Pro so you can upgrade to the current version.
