I have tried setting up advanced config to use an external mixer and loop back to record. I really like the effects on my mixer instead of the effects on VDJ when I record and/or broadcast. Have read wiki and the manual online. However, every time I try it, I get either a invalid config error, or soundcard error. If anyone can guide me on how to do it and maybe explain the logic behind the configuration, I would really appreciate it.
Here is my set up:
2 Denon DNS 3700
1 Denon DNX 1600
I am using the internal soundcard on the 3700 instead of the one on the mixer.
The other set up I have is:
2 Technics 1200
1 Behringer DDM4000
NI Audio 4 soundcard
If someone can explain the logic behind the set up, what is input, what is output. Why its needed and how sound is routed and recognized, for one of them, I am sure I can figure out the other.....I think.
Life was much simplier when you just need to know to match the color of the RCA to the color of you input and how to keep your records and needles clean. :(

Hope i can explain it :-P
1) Connect the 1st T1200 with the RCA (Red/white;-) with the Audio4DJ Input CHA - In1/2
2) Connect the 2nd T1200 with the RCA (Red/white;-) with the Audio4DJ Input CHB - In3/4
3) Connect the Audio Output Audio4DJ Output CHA - Out1/2 with the DDM4000 Input1 via RCA
4) Connect the Audio Output Audio4DJ Output CHB - Out3/4 with the DDM4000 Input2 via RCA
5) Connect Your PA with Out A on DDM4000 side
Because the Audio4DJ soundcard has now no further input available, you have to use the Computer or Notebook buildin soundcard or better their LINEIN port. It must be a LINEIN! The computer soundcard Mic input can't be used!
6) Connect the Main Out A - B or Tape with the computer soundcard input via RCA to jack.
Something like that!
On VDJ side, please try the following.
Deck1 – Audio4DJ – Output 1&2
Timecode1 – Audio4DJ – Input 1&2
Deck2 – Audio4DJ – Output 3&4
Timecode2 – Audio4DJ – Input 3&4
Record Loopback – Computer internal soundcard – Input 1&2
Have you tried it that way?
The same idea is behind your other setup, but it is needed the “soundcard” and or the driver can handle that.
If they can’t, a error come up ;-) but in most cases this can’t be fixed by VDJ.
It is most the time a driver issue.

Will give that shot. Thank you!!!

Well that set up also gave me an "invalid config error" and froze Virtual DJ. :(

Strange, works here fine while using a Audio8DJ.
Maybe you have to create a aggregate device?

I give up. I'm just gonna use a different way to connect to VDJ Radio instead of via VDJ so I can use my external mixers effects. Been at this for weeks now. I just can't figure it out. I think I have read everything and watched everything I can on youtube. I just can't configure this thing.

Please post an screen shots of your VDJ config setting showing all those INPUTS & OUTPUTS channel, also an screen shots of your Audio Midi Setup in MAC maybe you missed something on the config menu.

This is the setup needed
-> connect both turntables into separate stereo inputs at the Audio4
-> connect your denon CD players to your PC usb
-> connect one RCA cable from each denon cd player to separate channels on your mixer
-> connect one RCA cable from boot/rec out of mixer to a soundcard line in at mixer.
In VDJ Advanced sound do this :
Deck 1 -> denon cd player 1 -> output 1/2 (can be other .. test)
Deck 2 -> denon cd player 2 -> output 1/2
Timecode 1 -> Audio4 -> input x/y (test what input works)
Timecode 2 -> Audio4 -> input z/x (test what input works - and NOT same as the above)
Record Loopback -> Denon 1600 line in -> input 1/2 (or other if you have more)
