Hi,
I'm new to VDJ, I've got an external mixer with a 4.1 sound card... how do you make a recording with the gain levels if you're doing it from the external mixer?

First, to be able to output two decks separately to an external mixer, you will need to purchase either VirtualDJ Basic or the full Professional. Please see comparison.

Thanks - just making sure it was possible before making the purchase... what's the Booth output (as my mixer (Stanton SMX-201) doesn't have a rec out)

If you want to do recording alone you can take the recording output from your Stanton Mixer Main Outs and connect it to your Recorder Inputs. But if you want to record your live performance and at the same time you want to record it while you are playing then you need a mixer which has a recording output or a soundcard that has an extra channel output that can be use for recording. You can also try and buy VDJ Pro V7 has the audio recording features you can record your song directly into your hard drive while you are playing.

Hey do you know how I would be record my mixes without my pfl playing over the track I'm playing out, Ive tried everything! I have a stanton mixer and virtual dj pro 7...I have changed every single config I could and Ive plugged my wires into the back on my mixer into record and it still plays the pfl as I'm cueing up the tracks? I have no idea what to do.
