firstly im new to mac and there for consider me a clueless muppet.im a pro user and so i should be able to download samples etc. but when i go to the sample page i cant even listen to them let alone download them. can anyone help?

a little more info to help you help me.if i download a sample then go to downloads,click on said sample a window pops up and says "there is no default application specified to open the document bla bla whatever the samples called.vdj."
please tell me what im doing wrong.

Hi sussed it mostly i think,dont know what the third logo is though,i.e.the little floppy discs windows,apple and??? little grey lines.whats this? can i use this on my macbook?
 
The 3rd icon is installation instructions or other documentation (This depends on whether the author provided these and it may not be present for all add-ons.)
