I have had a Gemini CNTRL-7 for about 6 months now and I have gotten to a level where EQ response and sliders are not at the response levels I need them to be. The controller has also broke so I have shipped it back for repairs. I record sets just as much as I play live, so I need a better controller that can record with VDJ Pro 7.
I purchased a American Audio VMS2 only to come to find that you cant record in VDJ.
I am looking for a controller which is able to record in VDJ. I have a price range up to $500.
Some of the controllers which I have read up on are:
Pioneer DDJ-WeGO
Hercules RMX 2
DENON MC3000
Reloop Mixage IE
PIONEER DDJ-ERGO
I mix electronic music. I do not scratch, but heavily use EQs and Volume controller. Not big on effects or samples, but college parties do require them to be easily accessible. If anyone has any input that would be great. Main thing is that recording must be possible and easy.
Thanks,
DJ Kay T

You can record with any controller using VDJ.......I don't have that unit but Im sure someone who has it will chime in.
As far as what controller you should get well nobody can answer that. Its down to what your needs are and how comfortable you are on it. Id find friends and shops who have these controllers and go test each one out first.........
Good luck

The VMS2 has a real hardware mixer built-in, which is probably why you are having difficulty recording - Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Recording%20your%20set%20or%20broadcasting%20when%20using%20an%20external%20DJ%20mixer.html
NOTE: All of the other controllers that you mention above have a software MIDI mixer (Controls the internal mixer in VirtualDJ), so internal recording will work without any special configuration.
