I have some videos that don't sound great and would like to replace the audio track in the video with a clean 320 bit track, any ideas on what and how to do this...
I have many formats, but vob files for the most part...
Thanks

the easy way is just to Drop the video once the MP3 is loaded on the deck.
But first:
You need to make the MP3 SYNC the TIME (lenght) by maybe adding SILENCE in front.
Hard way: is to get a program ( I usse ProShow Producer) like Sony Vegas etc.... and work it.
I use the easy method too.... It's alot quicker, I just had to use Audacity to edit the CLEAN MP3, then load that on a DECK and drop the video on the deck window and set the CUE point.
Hope I made sense.

I was looking to maybe seeing the audio file in the video first in a wav form so I can compare the two and match, then edit the clean track if needed and swap out the old with the new clean version...?

I get the mp3 track as well and drop both video & audio on a video editor and line them up and resave.this will make u a new fresh video with a great sound but most important, that you can use over and over again.I've used the "AVS 4 you" pack of assorted applications including the editor which is cheap,I think, but does a lot.you could try Windows movie macker but I've never messed with it so I could'nt tell you.I think that anyone who mixes videos on VDJ should get familiar with at least one video editor program.now hows that for my two cents? ;-)

So, is that the way it works, let's you bring up the audio file in the video as a wav form, like an audio wavepad editor, compare in another window the clean version do your edits to match, then copy, paste and save back into the video/audio file window. ...is this how it works?

with a video editor you save it as a new video.if the original its that bad I dish em..lol.. or just leave em in a video project folder which will remind you they need or have been "fixed".its simple in that it similar to editing audio tracks (even real tape?) in that u drop the video on the main track of the editor, the audio on a second track, mute the original audio and the track two with the mp3" Shine".you will need to check the original audio to line them both correctly.when u get where it should be just hit save.of course if they are two versions video are usually the Radio version) and the audio its the club mix or extended mix, then its best to splice the visuals to go along with the ne audio track.its easier than splicing the audio and you end up with a more rewarding longer track which its better for mixing..right?
