Took me a while to get it there, but I got it to my liking.

Nice video and since Ive gotten a new more powerful laptop things have been better for me. Now I will say I disagree with not having it set to "AUTO" for the latency setting. The way I understand it is, if your soundcard is set higher then whats set within VDJ it'll basically confuse VDJ and cause weird things (bad performance). So if the latency can be set with an ASIO window with your soundcard you should set it there to 1ms (or whatever your machine can handle) and set VDJ to auto. I could be wrong but thats the way I understood it and thats how Ive always set mine up. Other then that I agree totally about the skin as well. Less graphics means less drain on the cpu which in turn gives us better performance.
Keep rockin and great video as always

Appreciate that fam!
I always respect your opinions. I believe the info I got on Latency came from one of my manuals. I guess each maybe it has to do with the different settings. I'm not 100% sure on that, but I can say that 1 rms has been tight for me. I'm in the process of giving 7.4 the beat juggle run through. I gave it the first trial earlier and was happy, yet tomorrow will be the ultimate test. Beat juggle, scratching and a couple of table bumps on purpose to see if can take a beating.

Great Video Brother. One thing I dont get with Virtual DJ is.. Why do they have to have soo many settings. What is The Purpose of Jog Sensitivity, Cue, & Blend.. ? Standard should be On Point, Not choose to have it off of or way too sensitive. In the performance section where you adjust your Latency, Choosing (64, 1ms or 128 2ms or Auto) should be already enough.

I wish I had the answer to that one myself, but what I did find was that those things I pointed out all played a major part in getting the engine to respond to my TC's. Unlike the other guys, VDJ certainly takes some tweaking.
The Latency numbers you stated should work fine, but I had a situation where I tried it on my PC and 5ms suited me better. Yet 1ms or 2ms as you stated should be fine. Only time I use auto with my timecodes is cause of the Mic, but I lose a small piece of the response on the TC's.

Yup that's the bad thing about that colored vinyl, looks good but just doesn't last as long as the black.

To give users the choice to set things up how they would like, rather than how we tell them they should have it. Those three settings configure how sensitive a jog is in different modes. One size does not fit all here.

I understand choice but, A turntable doesnt have a Jog sensitivity adjustment. The Torque is High on a good turntable. Its not like a Pioneer DDJ sx or a Vci 300 controller where you can adjust the platters responce. A turntable, Once you place your hands on It, The vinyl will slow down or stop based on how you place your hand on the platter. The performance settings based on Latency should determine how accurate your scratching is, Not by the jog sensitivity.

I was always under the impression that those 3 settings don't have any effect when using timecodes, am I missing something here?? Those only count when using a MIDI controller, right??

You're correct, because I only used that with a midi-controller as the mixer, where the turntables act as the jog wheels, but it doesn't disconnect your jog wheels on the controller either. Yet, when I use an external mixer, it doesn't respond to those settings. Good point out!
