I got the usb multimix8 mixer and nicecast and paid for the audio subscription but virtual dj won't let me use my headphones and mics how can I fix that, I want to play music and be able to use my headphones and mics. can anyone please help me? thank you.

I have the original usb multimix 8, not the fx, ive never tried using it with vdj, but I suspect you need to set it up properly through advanced mixer settings. the multimix 8 is an external sound card with 8 inputs, so you might need to properly set which channel is the mic. you might want to possibly use some sort of ASIO driver. I also don't have mac
another way is routing outs and ins using 2 sound cards, in your case the internal, and the external multimix 8
so you would use your internal sound card headphone port for cueing, then select the multimix 8 as the master output. then you run the outs of the multi mix 8 to speakers. and the mic from the multi mix will just work as it would as if you were just using an ordinary mixer. now if your wanting to record, that's where it might get tricky as you might have to select advance mixer settings and configure.

VirtualDJ Home FREE does not support broadcasting or advanced sound setup.
The Multimix8 also only has a 2 channel (1 stereo) output sound card built-in (For master output) so cannot be used for headphone pre-listening.
To be able to do this, you would need to purchase a suitable multi-channel DJ sound card such as Numark DJIO and either VirtualDJ Basic or the full Professional: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html
You could also alternatively use a two sound card setup (Also requires VirtualDJ Basic or full Pro) with the Multimix8 for your master output and laptop's built-in headphone socket for pre-listening, but you may get sound issues if the two sound cards do not have exactly the same settings and/or are incompatible with each other (See http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Distortion%20when%20using%20two%20sound%20cards.html )
