Looking for some information in regards to Fire Text and Essential Media

for the most part i understand how it works, but I want to add this to one of my gigs and I want to be able to present the Manager with straight forward ideas and facts. How much does it cost upfront, monthly fees, and things like that

I have access to 3 giant video screens and want to kick it up a notch

I believe TAYLA is the master of this subject, yes?

I'm sure Tayla will be on to provide info for you, but I have used Pangolin Text-to-Screen and can tell you what I know.
You will need a Text Only plan which goes for around $15 a month unlimited and a USB modem. I think I paid $70 for my modem and it works just like a cell phone with spotty coverage.

Some of the cool things you can do are have the crowd participate with texts, & you can text them back, scroll messages like drink specials and events, load different mp4 backgrounds and vote. Its a very versatile and unique program that will set you apart from standard non-video DJ's and its always a hit at private parties.

With three big screens at your disposal you will have an instant hit with either program.
 
ECoast - Thanks for that! I downloaded the demo and I like it. They also offer a specific modem as well, do you know what the difference between yours and theirs is AND did you purchase a cell phone for this as well - thanks in advance! -Z
 
I use a Zoom Model 4595 with a T Mobile sim card.... I tried a cell phone initially but only certain ones work. Its much easier to go with the USB modem.

Personally I use a usb stick, saves connecting charger and usb cables to phone and they cost just a few pounds to buy and depending on the plan you use with the provider can work out next to nothing to receive and send texts.

What does * 1,000 unique users" mean??
 
You get to use the sms side of the system for free with the availibility of 1,000 seperate phone numbers able to text their messages to your screens.

Ideal if your playing out from a couple of small venues each week.
 
Wow! I had no idea VDJ Pro had all these features. Why would anyone not get this software if they are serious about their craft?
 
Thank you, and they are just the current free features.

Firetext was the original text to screen software with it's additional features specifically designed and integrated as a free plugin for VDJ pro users over four years ago. It's all in one feature's for DJs has been mirrored by others often down the years.

Plus, there are lots more goodies in the upgrade versions. Private texting is one feature that a lot of the guys use and is great for singles nights.
