I remember trying this at Mobilebeat, very impressed by it!

I for one am not impressed by this "hand-waving" controller thing, determaning the position of your hand in mid-flight is somewhat tedious.as for that first link there is people making comments "knocking" VDJ software to the ground and someone needs to go there and tell those "tracktor" lovers what's up and why they need to "up a Level" by checking Virtual Dj software...C'mon guys!

I think personally DJing is going to a whole new level in our digital era. not just needle dropping, vinyl shaking, button pressing, fader sliding its all that plus more :)

I know it can be combined with other setups such as TT decks CD decks etc.... in Vitual DJ

it's basicly a 4 button/knob controller with some modifiers.

Correction:

Its 5 Buttons 4 Laser Beams

2 are Rocker Buttons with 2 momentary Positions each (Value of 4 Momentary Switches)
3 are Momentary Thus far bringing the total up to 7 buttons when counting)
Then add the Class 2 Lasers (4) which add as triggers. (Giving you 9)
Now add that to the software and you have a total of 54 trigger combinations trough the software.

It a gimmick, sort of fun for performances I guess, but it would be much more powerful if it wasn't just triggers but also combined with some proximity sensor to tweak parameters of effects. And for true pro performance sake, get those lasers well visible

Say what you want about this thing, but it certainly a great piece of equipment from a business stand point to me. Trust me, my kiddie gigs are about to jump, because this will certainly be something they will love and parents will pay top dollar to make little Suzy or mikey happy, so cash, check or charge!

or you can let the kids play with the box that it came in
