hi im just starting to dj and i wanted to know from anyone how does rhapsody work is it just a internet radio or can i download songs to my mac
and actually own the songs and use them in a set?

Rhapsody is a subscription music rental service.
While you are subscribed you can stream, download and play music from it.. You do not own this music and if you cancel your subscription you will no-longer be able to play any of the music that you have downloaded once its DRM expires.
If you wish to own and keep music then you will need to purchase it from iTunes, Amazon, etc.
Please also be aware that Rhapsody is aimed at home consumers so it may not be legal to use it at DJ gigs.

You can buy tracks from Rhapsody,but they will play in Virtual DJ as long as your subscription is active.

Yes you can purchase mp3 tracks just like Amazon or ITunes. They're subscription service won't work for any dj because you can't burn or record those tracks on other devices. I used to buy from them all the time but I found Amazon and they have better music selection and more convenient to purchase on a mobile app.
