You mean automix?

No, Breakaway DJ is one of those "miracle" plugins that claims to improve sound quality...

In all honestly, if your equipment is such that your sound is poor, then a plugin isn't going to fix it.

If your equipment is top notch then you don't need a plugin to "make it better".

ok so you dont have an eq in your rack, ok so you dont have driverack in your rack. All of you plug directly into your amplifiers. no bbe sonic maximizers... so people with those in thier rack is because they dont have top-notch equipment? so instead of buying the driverack which i couldnt afford i bought breakaway dj and a bbe sonic maximizer/crossover all for 150. same outcome at 400 savings...F.O.H.

Don't get upset at what they say, it's just an opinion based on their experience or lack of it, it's not shared by every one here,...and yes you make a good solid point on the racks. using the plugins does give you an advantage especially if your a mobile Dj using different venue equipment or you may need the extra push to reach your comfort level in a particular setting, so plugins are useful, but right now they can not be used in the current version the way they are intended to be used in the output side of the software like you can with Ableton and others.

You can only use them if you activate them into the active deck, Not the output side.

Also your computer has to have enough power and tweaked to handle the extra load.

Just install your plug-in, go into the installation folder and copy the .dll file into VDJ Plugins\SoundEffect folder, start VDJ and look for your plugin in effects tab then click SoundEffect tab, you'll find it there...

Good Luck

Breakaway dj doesnt work as a plug-in its more of a software driverack pa. with out the speaker management

you route the decks audio out through it...but what iwant to do is use my timecode...but cant seem to route them right...maybe in version 8 it says you will be able to use multiple soundcards...

also my pc runs it fine lappy very tweaked...i just cant seem to get the timecode right

Yeah, not thru the software Asio Drivers your using, I believe that is your problem, maybe if the software was available as a plugin then it may work.., but again it will only work in the active deck once activate there.

If Breakaway sits on the output, between VDJ and your audio interface, I don't see how that would have any impact on your ability to use timecode - because the timecode signal is an input.

i think my problem is the breakwawy driver doesnt have inputs...i think for me to get this to work is to be able to use the voxoa c60 driver for the input but still route the outputs the breakaway asio drivers...

@Diratedxxx919
When you don't use your Breakaway software does your time code work properly?

Of course it has inputs - how do you think the output of VDJ goes through it?

If you're thinking of inputs for your turntables, then you've got things screwy. Your timecode signal needs to go into VDJ, not Breakaway.

Ah, now this is the first time in the whole thread you've mentioned a Voxoa C60....

Yes, if that's what you're connecting your turntables to, then you need to set VDJ to use the Voxoa channels for timecode inputs.

===============================================================================

I think the issue here is probably that Breakaway is emulating an ASIO device so it can grab the audio from VDJ, but then that prevents the use of another (real) ASIO device for audio inputs - your timecode signal.

Using two different ASIO devices at once is a no-no.

Yea thats what ive come to understand. If im correct multiple soundcards will be possible in ver. 8, i heard this in one of the pre-release demo videos.
