Hi all! I'm new here. I've been DJ'ing since I was 11, and I'm currently 18yrs old....mostly volunteer gigs, I do it as a hobby since music is in my blood, although if I'm lucky I do get some tips here and there, barely enough to replace cables when they break...but everyone around here is cheap...
I usually use CD's and a dual rack mount CD player, but unfortunately after 5 years it just bit the dust today. Hopefully I can save up enough to buy a new one soon. SO now I am stuck using my laptop....I have a gig coming up this weekend for a friend....hopefully I can get some tips...
Anyways, I have Virtual DJ Home, and it plays music alright and just fine on my Windows XP Laptop.
Although, when I plug it into my mixer, it emits a horrible background buzz (ground loop). Obviously it needs to be plugged into my mixer for the gig, so how do I stop this?
I just run it off of the headphone jack if that makes a difference.
